In 1965, after spending a long time in Spain and Paris and work with some of the best designers of that time, the Dominican OSCAR DE LA RENTA founded his brand. His Prêt-à-Porter designs had American and European style, which was unique and innovative. He always used to say that his role as a designer was the best he could do for women to look their best. He said that fashion was only fashion when women wore fashionable garments.

In 1977 he made one of his childhood dreams come true, launching her first perfume Oscar de la Renta. It now has a range of perfumes for both men and women.
