Nail Polishes Cruelty Free

Nail polish, the accessory of yesterday, today and always

Just as we take care of the rest of our appearance and dress appropriately for each occasion, we should beautify our hands and nails with a manicure . Due to the amount of use we give them, our hands are one of the parts of the human body most exposed to damage or external aggression.

The skin on your hands is fragile and sensitive, and over time, it can become damaged, deteriorate, and even age prematurely. For this reason, it's important to care for them regularly with exfoliations and moisturizing treatments .

Before you begin decorating your nails with nail polish or other beauty products, you must properly prepare them and apply the appropriate care treatments. A manicure is the process of caring for and beautifying your hands and nails to keep them looking their best.

The same moisturizing treatment we use to hydrate our hands can be used on our nails. It's also advisable to remove any dead skin cells or dirt from the cuticles or nail beds.

Types of nail polish and nail polish

We can distinguish the different types of nail polish based on the final finish each provides. Below, we'll list the most commonly used nail polishes and nail polish types in recent years:

• Cream enamel : This is the classic finish, providing a smooth and shiny monochromatic texture.
• Crackle polish : Two polishes are used to achieve this effect. First, we apply a normal base color, followed by a crackle polish on top. As it dries, cracks form in the crackle polish and the base color appears, creating a two-tone effect on the nails.
• Sand effect enamel : it is applied in the same way as crackle, but the final effect presents colored pigments as if they were grains of sand.
• Glitter nail polish : This type of nail polish contains glitter and sparkles.
• Holographic polish : Provides a shiny, rainbow-like finish when light hits the polish.
• Pearlescent polish : offers a pearl-like shine to your nails.
• Mood enamel : the main characteristic of this enamel is that it changes color depending on the light it receives or changes in temperature.
• Duochrome enamel : these are enamels that combine two colors and have a metallic finish.
• French manicure : This involves applying white nail polish to the protruding end of the nail and a skin-tone color to the part that connects to the flesh. The final result is elegant and very natural.
• Powder polish : It's easy to apply and can create many effects. First, we apply a base coat to hold the powder polish in place. Next, we dip the nail into the polish and apply a nail polish fixative to maintain the desired effect.

What nail polish should we use?

Before applying the desired nail polish , we must choose the best product based on the desired finish and the final result we want to achieve. It's important to choose the right color and texture to achieve a spectacular polish effect.

Make sure the nail polish brush is the right size. If it's too small, you'll need to apply more strokes, delaying the application time. It's also a good idea to check the appearance of the nail polish before using it to ensure it's in good condition. Nail polishes are safe products, but they can sometimes contain ingredients that can be harmful to nail health. Therefore, we must check that the product doesn't contain any of these ingredients.

When choosing a color, we recommend matching it with some of the clothing you're wearing to achieve a uniform effect throughout the look. Below, we'll show you the effect each nail polish color produces when applied:

• Clear nail polish : Provides a sleek, natural look. Pink, cream, or beige shades produce the same effect.
• Dark nail polish : These are used to highlight the presence of the hands and combine perfectly with dark or white makeup.
• Red nail polish : This is one of the most popular colors among women due to its striking appearance. Pairing it with a lipstick of the same color will help highlight our beauty.
• Black nail polish : they combine perfectly with dark tones and provide an absolute touch of elegance.
• Yellow nail polish : It's a color that provides confidence, but is difficult to match. It's often used during the spring and summer seasons.
• Green nail polish : It's a fun shade that adds a fresh touch. Ideal for spring.
• Blue nail polish : The effect it creates is elegant and bold. It's an intense shade, often used for evening events.
