Hygiene for every skin type

Choosing a good shower gel or body moisturizer that suits the characteristics of our skin is important to keep it healthy, elastic and with all its properties intact. Not all the people have the same skin type, which is why we'll detail you which hygiene products are right for your skin:

• For normal skin: this is the type of skin with more balanced features, so it will not require of much attention, rather than the use of gels that don't dry too much the skin and the daily hydration.
• For dry skin: this type of skin is the one that doesn't retain the fluids well and tends to dry quickly when is exposed to the outside. With it we must follow a special care of daily hydration. The gels with aloe vera will be very helpful to repair it and maintain it elastic, as well as those products that contain glycerol or other moisturizing components. Finally, the body oils of vegetable origin (such as almond oil) help stabilize the metabolism of this skin type.
• For oily skin: in this case, our skin presents an excess of natural production of sebum in the skin surface, but this can be corrected using gels that help stabilize it and have a neutral pH. Both gels and creams should be free of oils, and if they also contain antiseptic properties (astringent components such as alcohol) will help us. Contrary to what we may think, to oily skin it will also benefit the vegetable oils, such as jojoba oil, which help regulate its metabolism.

To treat them, we will seek for hypoallergenic gels and moisturizers with soft characteristics (without free radicals), especially indicated for this type of skin. Some properties, such as omega 3 and emollients like the aloe vera will help us a lot to treat it.

Components of our bath products

Nowadays, the components of the products of personal hygiene are being increasingly mentioned because of the use of parabens and preservatives that end up being harmful to our skin. But overall, we are going to tell you which are the basic ingredients that compose the effectiveness of a personal hygiene product that respects your skin:

• Water: This is the diluent by excellence of our gels, although in some cases it may be the oil of vegetable origin.
• Emulsifiers and detergents as, for example, the anionic surfactants that are responsible for generating foam and at the same time is the detergent responsible for the removal of the dirt and microorganisms.
• Other types of surfactants present, depending on the formula, can be the glycosides notable for being gentle agents, biodegradable and much tolerated by sensitive skins. • Preservatives: and here we have the parabens whose primary mission is to protect the cosmetic product and keep it in the adequate microbiological conditions during its storage. Due to the aggressiveness of its chemical components (which can be toxic when are absorbed by our skin), are being discontinued in detriment of other types more respectful with our skin. For this reason, our personal hygiene products contain natural preservatives and antioxidants components harmless to our skin and effective in their function.

How to care for our personal hygiene

As important as your daily hygiene, is knowing how to apply your products. So from Perfume's Club we want to offer you some simple guidelines for your daily care routine that will be very useful for you.

• The first thing to keep in mind when entering the bathroom is which one is going to be the most beneficial gel or body soap to start cleansing the skin. To do this you need to know:
  • An oily skin is going to need products that are rinsed easily with water and oil-free. Better if you use gel, and better if it creates good foam.
  • A mixed skin will thank more the use of gels similar to the ones for oily skin (oil-free), but if they contain a moisturizer will be better. They should also be soaps that can be rinsed well with plenty of water.
  • For dry skin is better not spending too much time in the water. If you use cleansing milks emulsifying you'll do much better and of course your main allies will always be the vegetable oils and other moisturizers. You must avoid rubbing too much the different areas of your body.
  • For sensitive skin the best will be using gels without free radicals, no alcohol and no other element that can be rough. You must try to be gentle and massage instead of rubbing when cleaning your skin. Neither is advisable a long time exposure to water when rinsing.
• Then we will pass into the body exfoliation, a not very common practice, that if we got used to follow it will provide us a smooth and shiny skin. There are different types of body exfoliators: in gel, cream or exfoliating salts bathed in oil. To choose it we must consider the same guidelines as the ones followed with the gels. Therefore, if your skin is oily or mixed is better to avoid the exfoliating salts or the cream and opt for the gel; if instead is dry, the best option will be the exfoliating creams with moisturizing features or the salts bathed in oil; in the case of sensitive skin the best will be to use those especially designed for this type.
• After rinsing well the skin we will pass to apply the moisturizer, the most important step of the whole process. We will follow the same recommendation guidelines for every skin type when choosing our cream, body milk or moisturizing oil. We will apply the product with special emphasis on the areas that often present dryness (such as elbows and knees) and wait about ten minutes, without dressing up, to give the skin time to breathe and absorb all the nutrients. If we also use a good tonic, as a vegetable oil or micellar water with firming properties, we will give a splendid touch to our skin.
• Finally, we must choose a good deodorant for our skin: spray, roll-on or stick must be suitable for your skin type. They are not all equal, but usually the spray deodorants contain alcohol, perfume and other harsh agents, so they are not recommended for sensitive skin, but instead can be beneficial for oily or mixed skin. The stick and roll-on deodorants are good for both, dry skin and sensitive, as they help to keep the skin hydrated, while protecting the area in a smooth and delicate way.
