THE CREATION
Created in 2005, Un Jardin sur le Nil Eau de Toilette evokes an olfactory journey to the “garden islands” of Aswan, Egypt. With this composition, perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena captures the essence of the river that gives it its name, synonymous with life and generosity.
OLFACTORY NOTES
The green and woody Un Jardin sur le Nil Eau de Toilette combines a tangy green mango with a delicate lotus and an elegant sycamore.
THE OBJECT
The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, is inspired by the lines of old car headlights. The glass of the bottle is brought to life by a delicate green gradient inspired by the banks of the Nile. The case is illustrated with a lotus flower drawn by the brush of the artist Véronique de Mareuil.
THE PARFUMS-JARDINS COLLECTION
The Parfums-Jardins collection is the meeting point between the essence of a place, the perfumer's source of inspiration and the theme that Hermès chooses each year to illustrate its creations. An olfactory journey that invites you to enjoy every shared moment and to pursue the desire for freshness, to dream and to escape.
«A new idea about freshness, quite unusual: green and vegetal smells, smells of water and sand». Jean-Claude Ellena
A Garden on the Nil is an impressionist stroll through the garden islands of the Nile in Aswan, the starting point of this new olfactory adventure. Green mango, lotus, incense, calamus and sycamore wood form the heart of this refreshing ode.
