THE CREATION
Created in 2019 by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, Un Jardin sur la Lagune Eau de Toilette encloses a secret garden where nature has withstood the test of time. An intriguing place, hidden in the city of a thousand contrasts: Venice.
OLFACTORY NOTES
The floral and woody Eau de Toilette Un Jardin sur la Lagune is composed of luminous magnolia, enveloping pittosporum and sensual white lilies.
THE OBJECT
The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, is inspired by the lines of the headlights of cars of yesteryear. The glass of the bottle is brought to life by a delicate shade of Venetian ochre, a nod to the wall surrounding the garden. The work of the brush of artist Safet Zec, a lush nature, admired from the waters of the lagoon, adorns the case with a multitude of colours.
THE GARDEN PERFUME COLLECTION
The Garden Perfumes collection is the meeting point between the essence of a place, the perfumer's source of inspiration and the theme that Hermès chooses each year to illustrate its creation. An olfactory journey that invites you to enjoy every shared moment and to pursue the desire for freshness, to dream and to escape.
«I dreamed of this garden. I have composed a perfume woven from its memories, from the trees and flowers that have sprouted there throughout its existence and from the nature that still endures.» Christine Nagel, Hermès perfumer
A door remains ajar; a dream escapes through it.
A garden on the lagoon is a secret garden where nature reasserts itself. Woody fragrances mingle with floral notes. Salty notes are carried by the wind in the distance.
How to use:
- To prolong the scent for longer, apply your fragrance to the inside of your wrists and behind your earlobes. These pulse points have a higher temperature than the rest of the body, and this will help the fragrance evaporate more slowly.
- Applying perfume directly to clothing can stain, damage and alter the fabric.
