THE CREATION
Eau de Citron Noir, created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, is launched in 2018. An elegant and astonishing freshness that reveals the paradoxes of a widely known and appreciated citrus fruit: the lemon. A sophisticated composition full of contrasts.
OLFACTORY NOTES
A citrus-woody fragrance, Eau de Citron Noir Cologne combines zesty lemon and woody black tea with the smoky notes of guaiacwood.
THE OBJECT
The iconic lantern bottle is wrapped in a radical deep blue. On the orange case, a stripe replicating the colour of the bottle creates an interesting contrast.
THE HERMÈS COLOGNE COLLECTION
Hermès Colognes constitute an infinite and virtuous playing field, exploring the sensoriality of materials. They reflect an immediate and generous pleasure, transcending gender, fashion, age or season.

«A journey through the olfactory universe of citrus notes made me immerse myself in the vast and surprising world of lemons. Among all the original varieties that caught my attention – citrus caviar, Buddha's hand, Eureka lemon or four seasons... – it was the black lemon, so smoky and with a strong personality, that stood out as the obvious choice.»
Christine Nagel
Eau de citron noir offers a singular and paradoxical imprint, such persistent freshness that it poses a challenge of permanence: it is the midday-midnight cologne.
